Trail Permit Price Increase

FREDERICTON, NB – SEPTEMBER 22, 2022 – The New Brunswick All-Terrain Vehicle Federation, also known
as QuadNB, wishes to announce to its members that the price of the trail permits will increase. This is the
first price increase since 2016.
This increase will be in effect for the 2023 trail permits that will be on sale to the public as of October 1,
2022.
This increase was discussed at the last QuadNB Annual General Meeting in April 2022 and was voted on by
representatives of all 57 quad clubs in the province.
This price hike is due to the rising cost of living. This also affects the cost of trail maintenance. For example:
the increase in costs for gasoline, the purchase of materials, and the cost of contractor services. To make
things easier for members and for clubs that sell permits on the trails during ATV activities, after the
addition of the tax, the price of each type of permit will be a round number. You will no longer need to
carry change with you. In order not to increase prices too quickly, the increase will be made in two stages.
Here's how prices will change for all permit types:

GROOMED AND NON-GROOMED TRAIL PERMITS
From 2023 to 2025 (effective from October 1, 2022, for new 2023 permits):
• Groomed permit: $130 (tax included)
• Non-Groomed permit: $65 (tax included)
2026 and 2027:
• Groomed permit: $145 (tax included)
• Non-Groomed permit: $75 (tax included)

OTHER TYPES OF TRAIL PERMITS
From 2023 to 2027:
• Youth trail permits (ages 6 to 15): $30 (tax included)
• Daily permit: $20 (tax included)
• Weekly permit: $30 (tax included)
