Getting cellular reception in the middle of the woods is often a daunting task. It can become critical during times of emergencies. The City of Bathurst with the help of NBCC Bathurst have developed a mapping system that identifies areas were cellular reception is strong enough to make a phone call or access data. Named the CRRA Applications, the project was primarily developed for Bathurst and its surrounding area but is also includes cellular hotspots in other areas of the province. Users can view the points added by the public, and those confirmed by CRRA's applications administrators.
