Recommendation for an increase in the price of trail permits

Dear members:

At the QuadNB AGM, which took place on Saturday April 23, 2022, a price increase for trail permits was proposed to the members. Please see below what was proposed.

The majority of the members voted in favor of accepting the proposed price.  The prices were calculated this way, so that when you add the tax, we end up with a round number, thus eliminating the need to give out change, which will make it easier for the clubs to sell on the trails during activities.

We have noticed that clubs are already sharing the proposed price increase on social media; however, please remember that the price increase is not yet official.  This is why we had not shared it yet on social media.  It will only be made official when, and if, the government approves it.  If they do, the price increase will take place as of October 1, 2022 for the 2023 trail permits.

*Current Trail Permit Fee: Groomed $96 + tax = $110.40
Non-groomed $46 + tax = $52.90

*Proposed Trail Permit Fee: (No increase for three years, fixed for 2026-2027)

Kids Trail Permit Fee (Ages 6-15 yrs.):
Current $26 + tax = $29.90                Proposed: $26.09 + tax = $30
Daily Permit:
Current $15 + tax = $17.25                Proposed: $17.39 + tax = $20
Weekly Permit:
Current $25 + tax = $28.75                Proposed: $26.09 + tax = $30
