Dear members:
If you have received a letter in the mail regarding a FREE accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy offered by AIL Insurance (American Income Life Insurance) in the amount of $4,000, that is a legitimate offer for all of our members. You become a member by purchasing a QuadNB trail permit, and this membership is renewable every year. As long as you are a member, you are covered, and it is free. This means that if you die as a result of an accident, even if the accident has nothing to do with your ATV, a cheque in the amount of $4,000 will be sent either to your named beneficiary if you have one; if not, it will go to your estate.
Please note that we do not give our members’ list or our members’ contact information to anyone. AIL Insurance representatives only have your contact information if you fill out the little card and send it back to them. QuadNB respects your privacy and we send the cards on behalf of AIL. We always use the previous year’s members list to do the mail-out because it is more complete. If you receive this card but the person it is addressed to has moved away or is deceased, please call us at 506-472-5130 to let us know so that we can remove their name from the distribution list.
ABOUT AIL INSURANCE:
AIL Insurance is a highly respected company. The company is a sponsor of QuadNB which helps us every year by making a donation and offering this free coverage of $4,000 to all our members. To date, they have paid over 60 claims to our members who have accidentally lost a loved one. So far, we're talking about $210,000 that has been donated to our grieving members. Not to mention the extra money paid if the person who died accidentally was also a member of another association that offers the same promotion through AIL. (Example: Snowmobile NB offers the same free policy through AIL to their members. This means that if the person in question who died accidentally was a member of both Federations, his beneficiary would be entitled to receive the check for $4,000 two times.) According to my source at AIL, this is around an additional $80,000. This is nearly $300,000 paid out to our members!
Every year, our AIL Public Relations representative comes to our Annual General Meeting, where he always gives a great door prize. This is usually our main prize. He is there every year to answer any questions the members present may have. He is a very professional and courteous representative.
We hate to see the nasty things that have been posted on our Facebook page by individuals who think it's a scam. This is NOT a scam. Any defamation of this company and disrespectful comments will be deleted. QuadNB will not tolerate online bullying.
Most AIL representatives are professional and respectful. IF anyone has encountered a pushy AIL rep, it could be an overzealous new agent not following protocol. This does not happen often, but if it does, please let me know by calling the office at 506-472-5130 and I will notify my AIL contact who will rectify the situation immediately.
Right now, you have 2 options:
- You can choose to fill out the beneficiary card and mail it by using the pre-stamped envelope.
What happens? An AIL agent will call you to set up a date and time for an appointment, either in person, by Zoom meeting, or perhaps on the phone. Some kind of meeting needs to happen because an AIL representative needs to witness your beneficiary designation in order for you to name a beneficiary of your choice and for AIL to have it on record. Of course, they will probably want to show you their other products. At this point, it is completely up to you if you are interested in purchasing additional insurance from them or not. Regardless of your decision, your free policy is still yours to keep, and the $4,000 would be TAX-FREE. Furthermore, you will also receive a Vogue Optical discount card and a free safety kit in case your child or grandchild ever goes missing. We encourage you to follow the instructions included in the letter and name a beneficiary. This is to establish your next of kin in case you don’t have a will or if there are any disputes. It gets the money out to your beneficiary quicker.
- You can also choose to not fill out the beneficiary card.
What happens? If you do not name a beneficiary, you are still covered under this free plan, and you will not be called by any AIL representatives. In this case, since you did not name a beneficiary, the money will be sent to your estate. It may take a bit longer for the cheque to be sent out and taxes may need to be paid on the money received.
For any questions or concerns regarding the free AD&D insurance policy, please contact the Public Relations agent for AIL, Mr. Darrell Dorey, by phone at 902-624-8329 or by email at prailcanada@yahoo.ca.
Please be advised that there will most likely be a second mail-out soon. Please ignore if you have already replied, or if you are not interested.
We thank you for your cooperation.
